After regularly hearing "Sheila" on my very favourite radio station XFM and never really wondering by whom the song was, I finally looked it up a few days ago. Well, it's by Jamie T. and the glorious internet also informed me that he also made "Sticks'n'Stones" which I knew as well. Aaaand, hurray hurray, after five years of absence Jamie T. will finally bring out new songs, namely "Don't you find" which premieres today at 7pm (8pm Central European Time) on XFM. 

You should have a look at the video for "Sticks'n'Stones" - Jamie T.'s teeth are amazing.

it's autumn

I've been thinking about this post for quite a while, but I think now it's time to say finally farewell to summer. It's time for scarfs, turning on the heating, wearing ankle boots and carrying around an umbrella everywhere you go. Furthermore, I can stroll around with my Oscar Wilde-remembrance hairdo and think about how to spend Halloween.

Somehow this year's autumn feels like a remake of last years autumn to me. But wait - isn't that the case with every season? That they repeat? Enough of this boring jabber, let's listen to some cosy autumn music.

peter perfect and his perfect christmas

The day after tomorrow is Christmas! A few weeks ago I've already been in a perfect holiday mood resulting from listening to cheesy Christmas music (especially old classics by Rolf Zuckowski) and baking with friends and family:

We built an entire army of Peter Perfects out of gingerbread and I can assure you, they were beautiful and delicious. I also watched TRADING PLACES around that time, which is one of my favourite Christmas movies.
Bye now, I have to sing "Jingle Bells" for the twentieth time, while I scatter some more glitter in the apartment.

There are some news from Mike Skinner! The former head of The Streets started a new project called The D.O.T. together with Rob Harvey. Harvey has already featured on The Streets' great track "Going through Hell" from their last album "Computers and Blues". The D.O.T. uploaded about 14 songs on Soundcloud yet and my current favourite is WEAPON OF CHOICE:
